BOA Shimano Claris Road Bike

The BOA, Shimano Claris road bike is unique to the Australian market and offers the ideal entry point into the world of road biking. It is a great all round, capable performer – whether it be for commuting or weekend riding.

The high performance aluminium frame features triple butted tubing to help reduce the overall bike weight, this is further enhanced by the carbon fork which also helps to soak up road vibrations and keeps you comfortable all day long.

The geometry of the BOA road bike frame allows you to be more upright than traditional racing bikes with their aggressive racing geometry, and hence it is perfect for those riders who are interested in day long rides and commuting.

Its commuting credentials are furthered with the bike featuring rear rack mounts, which can be used for mounting a rear rack and pannier bags.

Overall the bike is beautifully finished, the frame features internal routing which leaves the bike with impressively clean lines.

Shimano, one of the best names in cycling, has provided much of the drivetrain with the Claris 16 Speed groupset. The easy to use and super reliable groupset has a range of gears for almost any situation. The Tektro dual pivot brakes provide ample stopping power and modulation.

Whilst you might choose to upgrade them in future, there is benefit in having pedals equipped with toe clips included with the bike. These provided improved performance without having to delve into the world clip in shoes and pedals, especially whilst you are just getting into the sport.

Designed in Australia, the BOA road bike offers a bike that is packed with both performance and comfort features, to everyone.

All the tools required to assemble the bike are included.

Please note, that all bicycles whether purchased online or instore, are mechanical devices and need to be serviced regularly to ensure proper functioning. New gear and brake cables, will stretch during the initial bed-in period, and will need to be adjusted after approximately 150-300km.

Whilst your new bicycle will have already gone through our Pro Build process, you will still need to complete some minor final assembly steps when you take your bicycle out of its box.

Please follow the video playlist below to correctly complete the setup of your new bike:

Assembly Time:

  • 10-15min - You have assembled bikes before
  • 15-25min - You are mechanically handy
  • 30-40min - Never assembled a bike and working with tools isn't your thing

Unboxing your bike:

Start by carefully opening the top flap to expose the contents. You will see the bike with plenty of protective packaging and next to the rear wheel, the saddle & seatpost, a small cardboard box where your pedals, tools, bell and reflectors are. If you ordered any other products with the bike, it is likely they were placed on the bottom of the box as well. Remove all the loose items before pulling the bike out of the box and gently placing it on the floor.

Keep the box and all the protective packaging found on the bike in case you choose to change frame sizes, upgrade/downgrade the bike, or return the bike for a full refund under the 14 Day Test Ride Policy.
