Now sold out. Please see new 2018 Polygon Xtrada 8 for an updated version of this bike.

The Polygon Siskiu 7.0 29er Mountain Bike is the new version of the ever so popular Polygon Cozmic CX3.0 and 2016 Polygon Siskiu 7.0 29er. Between these 2 models, thousands of these bikes were sold all over the world in what was Polygon's most popular hardtail mountain bike to date. With this new version, the Siskiu 7.0 gets a better suspension fork, better gears, updated brakes and sheds weight in the process, to create the best Polygon Siskiu 7.0 29er thus far.

Constructed using Polygon's ALX technology at its full capacity, the Polygon Siskiu 7.0 boasts a Hydroformed 6061 Aluminium frame tubes that have been specifically designed and manufactured to reduce overall bike weight and deliver unsurpassed stiffness to the frame as a whole. The geometry has been tried and tested, resulting in a 29er bike that is fast, flickable and lively at any given instance. Pedal hard on a flat(ish) trail and you'll feel the bike gaining momentum like nothing you've ever seen. Uphill, the neutral and low rider position on the bike ensures brilliant traction and roll over ability. Point it down and the tapered headtube, oversized downtube and short chainstays will keep the bike pointing in the right direction just waiting for your next command. Worth mentioning as well that the 2016 Polygon Siskiu 7.0 29 comes with internal routing for all gear cables, for a smoother looking bike and better protection from the elements.

Onto the parts that complete the Polygon Siskiu 7.0 29er frame and you'll see big brand names splashed throughout the frame. Starting by the suspension fork, a RockShox Recon Silver with its 100mm Travel, Remote Lockout on the handlebars, Tapered Steerer and Thru Axle steals the show. The RockShox Recon is no Air entry level fork, this is a mid tier level fork for suspension giant RockShox and if this doesn't give you a clue of just how good this fork truly is, keep in mind that bikes all the way to $3000 will have this or a very similar fork on display.

Moving on to the drivetrain, you'll be happy to see a complete Shimano Deore drivetrain with a touch of Shimano XT royalty on the rear derailleur to keep your gears working at race level regardless of where and how hard you might be riding the Polygon Siskiu 7.0 29er. Shimano Deore components have been called Shimano's workhorse for all the right reasons. Superb efficiency, dependable performance and weight conscious, Deore components are sough after by riders wanting to upgrade their bikes, others replacing Deore for Deore and even riders with higher spec components trusting Deore to do cope with all the abuse coming for it. The Shimano XT rear derailleur is proof that Polygon wanted the rider to be in control of gear selection at any given moment. Sufice to say the Shimano XT components are only one down for Shimano's top of the range XTR and share most of its technology, design and performance.

The Polygon Siskiu 7.0 29er Mountain Bike is rounded off with Shimano Hydraulic Disc Brakes for effortlessly braking dependency in dry and wet conditions; Araya 29er Double Wall rims holding Schwalbe Rapid Rod tyres in place with its fast center track profile for straight line speed, side knobs for cornering action and active kevlar belt for puncture protection.

If a bike is the sum of its parts, then the Polygon Siskiu 7.0 29er is a splendid bike with a ride quality capable of embarrass many big name brands out on the trails.

All of our bicycles come with a Free Pro Build valued at $99. This means that your bicycle will be pre built by our professional mechanics. For your convenience, safety and comfort all our bikes are fully assembled prior to delivery. The bike is then packaged back into a box for secure shipment.

When your bike arrives, all you have to attach is the front wheel, the handlebar and pedals, everything else has been done – the headset has been adjusted, wheels trued, pedals and seat post greased, brakes and gears calibrated, and the tyres have been pumped up (please note upon arrival, in some cases you may need to add more air to tyres).

Most companies simply sell you the bike as it comes from the factory, which will require significant know-how to get your bike on the road. Currently we are the only Australian company providing this service, and have the 14 day test ride to back it up.

How does my bike arrive? Bicycles Online

All the tools required to assemble the bike are included.

If you are unsure of how to assemble this bike after viewing the instruction videos above, we recommend you ask for help from someone with knowledge of how to use basic hand tools.

Please note, that all bicycles whether purchased online or instore, are mechanical devices and need to be serviced regularly to ensure proper functioning.

Whilst your new bicycle will have already gone through our Pro Build process, you will still need to complete some minor final assembly steps when you take your bicycle out of its box.

Please follow the video playlist below to correctly complete the setup of your new bike:

Assembly Time:

  • 10-15min - You have assembled bikes before
  • 15-25min - You are mechanically handy
  • 30-40min - Never assembled a bike and working with tools isn't your thing

Unboxing your bike:

Start by carefully opening the top flap to expose the contents. You will see the bike with plenty of protective packaging and next to the rear wheel, the saddle & seatpost, a small cardboard box where your pedals, tools, bell and reflectors are. If you ordered any other products with the bike, it is likely they were placed on the bottom of the box as well. Remove all the loose items before pulling the bike out of the box and gently placing it on the floor.

Keep the box and all the protective packaging found on the bike in case you choose to change frame sizes, upgrade/downgrade the bike, or return the bike for a full refund under the 14 Day Test Ride Policy.
