Polygon Path 9 - 29er City Bike

Please note, the new version of this bike comes in black with copper decal as per images.

The expression "Ultimate Commuter Bike" has never been so rightfully deserved by a bike. Where others might compete and come close, the Polygon Path 9 is on a league of its own, offering the smart commuter all the tools in one neat and intelligent package.

An AL6 6061 Hydroformed Aluminium frame and fork form the basis for the frame. The frame tubes are hydroformed and hence extra light, yet as a unit, the bike displays impressive stiffness. The short wheelbase makes the bike super agile, ideal when you need to filter through traffic or pedestrians. Using a taller headtube forces the rider to sit more upright on the bike, giving you more comfort overall and raising your point of view, perfect when you need to look over cars and decide where the fastest route is.

The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes and Shimano LX 30 speed drivetrain make this a hugely appealing bike to the savvy commuter. Shimano Hydraulic disc brakes are easy to operate and even more important to service. On the drivetrain, having Shimano gears is great but having a full Shimano LX drivetrain with a Shimano XT rear derailleur is unbelievable at this price point. Shimano LX is Shimano's top of the range components for trekking and commuting bikes. These are components made specifically for riders doing thousands of kilometres in one sitting. Durability and reliability is paramount for those riders. No surprise then that Shimano LX is on the very best commuter bike Polygon created for 2018, the Path 9.

The new dynamo hub from Shimano is hugely efficient. The front hub generates electricity without creating any noticeable resistance whilst riding. The energy created, fuels the front and rear light so you don't ever need to replace batteries or worry about how much juice you still have on your lights. Mudguards and rear rack are also part of the package and complete the bike in a stellar way.

When your bike arrives, all you have to attach is the front wheel, the handlebar and pedals, everything else has been done – the headset has been adjusted, wheels trued, pedals and seat post greased, brakes and gears calibrated, and the tyres have been pumped up (please note upon arrival, in some cases you may need to add more air to tyres).

Most companies simply sell you the bike as it comes from the factory, which will require significant know-how to get your bike on the road. Currently we are the only Australian company providing this service, and have the 14 day test ride to back it up.

All the tools required to assemble the bike are included.

Please note, that all bicycles whether purchased online or instore, are mechanical devices and need to be serviced regularly to ensure proper functioning. New gear and brake cables, will stretch during the initial bed-in period, and will need to be adjusted after approximately 150-300km.
