The Polygon Heist 5.0 is one the most popular hybrid bikes in Australia and has been used by thousands or riders around the country for weekend rides along the local fire trail to epic long distance tours from Melbourne to Perth or Brisbane to Cairns! It's no wonder then that the 5th iteration of the Heist 5.0, Polygon decided to stick with the same winning recipe and only update components to this brilliant bike.

The Polygon Heist 5.0 fuses Road bike and Mountain Bike geometry into a one-bike-to-do-it-all steed that delivers incredible speed on paved roads, but is still a credible performer when you are off the beaten track.

The addition of the suspension fork aids to its light off road credibility and improves rider comfort whilst on road. The Suntour NCX is a trekking specific suspension fork. The travel is kept to an optimum 63mm, and the lowers are made from magnesium all engineered to keep the fork weight to barely more than a regular solid fork. With the addition of a lock out lever, means that you can maintain efficiency whilst riding on paved roads or during ascents.

The full Shimano Deore 30 Speed groupset is at your disposal, giving you ample range of gears for any situation you might, or might, not have planned for. Perhaps the best value mountain bike groupset,  Shimano Deore provides a superb blend of durability and performance, and also helps to keep the bike weight down when the hill points up.

To keep things in control, the Heist 5.0 comes equipped with Shimano Hydraulic Disc Brakes, delivering unprecedented stopping power and modulation on a bike at this price point. Hydraulic disc brakes are an amazing upgrade to have on any bike as it removes the need to pull hard on the brake levers to achieve the desired braking power. Maximum power is can be easily controlled with minimal input at the levers – allowing you to focus on the road ahead rather than worrying about whether you are going to stop in time or potentially lock up the wheels.

Finishing off the Polygon Heist 5.0, 29er wheels are included in the package, allowing for faster cruising speeds and better stability. Gluing you to the road, a set of Schwalbe Tyrago 40c tyres mounted on double wall rims, the active Kevlar belt keeps punctures at bay for added peace of mind.

All of our bicycles come with a Free Pro Build valued at $99. This means that your bicycle will be pre built by our professional mechanics. For your convenience, safety and comfort all our bikes are fully assembled prior to delivery. The bike is then packaged back into a box for secure shipment.

When your bike arrives, all you have to attach is the front wheel, the handlebar and pedals, everything else has been done – the headset has been adjusted, wheels trued, pedals and seat post greased, brakes and gears calibrated, and the tyres have been pumped up (please note upon arrival, in some cases you may need to add more air to tyres).

Most companies simply sell you the bike as it comes from the factory, which will require significant know-how to get your bike on the road. Currently we are the only Australian company providing this service, and have the 14 day test ride to back it up.

How does my bike arrive? Bicycles Online

Whilst your new bicycle will have already gone through our Pro Build process, you will still need to complete some minor final assembly steps when you take your bicycle out of its box.

Please follow the video playlist below to correctly complete the setup of your new bike:

Assembly Time:

  • 10-15min - You have assembled bikes before
  • 15-25min - You are mechanically handy
  • 30-40min - Never assembled a bike and working with tools isn't your thing

Unboxing your bike:

Start by carefully opening the top flap to expose the contents. You will see the bike with plenty of protective packaging and next to the rear wheel, the saddle & seatpost, a small cardboard box where your pedals, tools, bell and reflectors are. If you ordered any other products with the bike, it is likely they were placed on the bottom of the box as well. Remove all the loose items before pulling the bike out of the box and gently placing it on the floor.

Keep the box and all the protective packaging found on the bike in case you choose to change frame sizes, upgrade/downgrade the bike, or return the bike for a full refund under the 14 Day Test Ride Policy.
