Introducing the new 2016 Polygon Colossus N9. All mountain riders and enduro racers step to the front of the line, your ride is here.

Polygon spare no expenses in designing this new frame and it was extensively tested by UR Polygon Team, racing the EWS (Enduro World Series). The full Toray Carbon frame is both lightweight and solid, in a clear attempt to reduce rider fatigue, improve frame stiffness and allowing you to build a super light Enduro machine. Equipped with Polygon's FS3 suspension system, the Floating Suspension reads the terains and adapts to it, freeing you to focus on what's ahead of you.

The heart of the N9 is the FS3 Suspension System. The brain child of the Polygon Global Development Programme and currently ridden by the Polygon UR Team, FS3 is a refined floating pivot design that separates the suspension from pedal and braking forces to maintain traction and control over any terrain. A Fox Float X CTD shock with custom valving takes full advantage of the FS3 floating pivot design and a Fox 36 Talas CTD Factory with Kashima coating and Tapered steerer completes this race machine's suspension set up on the front.

The N9 drivetrain is powered by either a complete SRAM XX1 11-speed groupset, or by a Shimano XTR 1x11 groupset. With a SRAM drivetrain, the simplicity of the single ring, allied to a massive 10-42 cassette, allows the N9 to achieve a gearing range that's similar to a traditional double chainring drivetrain, without the need for a front derailleur. The Shimano XTR version of this bike runs a 10-42 XT cassette.

Both the SRAM and Shimano models feature Shimano brakes, known for their relenteless braking power, modulation and feel, so essential on an Enduro bike. The Shimano model uses XTR brakes, while the SRAM version uses XT brakes.

On the wheel department, we welcome the addition of the e13 TRS Race wheelset with its carbon hubs, 6 degree engagement point, quad-butted stainless steel spokes, stiffer tubeless rims and a massive 23.4mm internal rim width. These wheels sound fast from the moment you ge them to spin and hear all 60 engagement points clicking in.

When your bike arrives, all you have to attach is the front wheel, the handlebar and pedals, everything else has been done – the headset has been adjusted, wheels trued, pedals and seat post greased, brakes and gears calibrated, and the tyres have been pumped up (please note upon arrival, in some cases you may need to add more air to tyres).

Most companies simply sell you the bike as it comes from the factory, which will require significant know-how to get your bike on the road. Currently we are the only Australian company providing this service, and have the 14 day test ride to back it up.

How does my bike arrive? Bicycles Online

If you are unsure of how to assemble this bike after viewing the instruction videos above, we recommend you ask for help from someone with knowledge of how to use basic hand tools.

Please note, that all bicycles whether purchased online or instore, are mechanical devices and need to be serviced regularly to ensure proper functioning.

Whilst your new bicycle will have already gone through our Pro Build process, you will still need to complete some minor final assembly steps when you take your bicycle out of its box.

Please follow the video playlist below to correctly complete the setup of your new bike:

Assembly Time:

  • 10-15min - You have assembled bikes before
  • 15-25min - You are mechanically handy
  • 30-40min - Never assembled a bike and working with tools isn't your thing

Unboxing your bike:

Start by carefully opening the top flap to expose the contents. You will see the bike with plenty of protective packaging and next to the rear wheel, the saddle & seatpost, a small cardboard box where your pedals, tools, bell and reflectors are. If you ordered any other products with the bike, it is likely they were placed on the bottom of the box as well. Remove all the loose items before pulling the bike out of the box and gently placing it on the floor.

Keep the box and all the protective packaging found on the bike in case you choose to change frame sizes, upgrade/downgrade the bike, or return the bike for a full refund under the 14 Day Test Ride Policy.
