The Siskiu29, 9.0 is Polygon's top of the line alloy hardtail 29er mountain bike and this year the spec list has been revisited and significantly upgraded producing a faster and more durable 29er bike with racing pedigree from top to bottom.

The understated silver frame on the Polygon Siskiu29 9.0 masks technology and geometry tweaks that set this bike apart from most competition. The ALX Advance Hydroformed 6061 Aluminium frame has been designed and tested for the best possible balance between strength and frame weight. The joints have been twice welded -a process that creates a more consistent and smoother looking weld. Together with the tapered headtube, oversized downtube and bottom bracket, the frame is both light and stiff, providing perfect steering feedback , so essential whilst choosing your line at speed.

Down to what is likely to be the most eye-catching components on the Polygon Siskiu29 9.0, the new upgraded Shimano XT, 22 Speed drivetrain. Benefiting from Road Racing technology and the Shimano XTR mountain bike groupset, the new XT drivetrain is a huge upgrade to previous XT versions, not only due to the extra gear, but both derailleurs have been tweaked for better shifting precision with less rider effort, the clutch improved resulting in less chain slap, and the ratios tuned for optimal gear configurations.

Ground sensitivity and control is being handled by a superb set of Mavic CrossRide wheels and the iconic RockShox Reba RL front fork. The Mavic CrossRide wheels are an unyielding, lightweight and sturdy wheelset that reviewer’s worldwide, praise time and time again. The rims were tested for maximum strength and minimum weight, the spokes are flat-bladed for improved aerodynamics, and the hubs feature sealed bearings, keeping dirt and mud away, and rolling resistance to a minimum. For grip, Schwalbe Rapid Rob tyres improve speed on a straight line with a raised centre track and provided sure footed grip on loose corners with elongated side knobs.

A RockShox Reba RL front fork is a very welcome addition to the Polygon Siskiu29 9.0. On the Rockshox line up, the Reba is the very best in the Marathon range, with top of the line technology build into it, weighing 1.6kgs (amongst the lightest in this class) and features a 15mm thru axle as well as a remote lockout on the handlebars for speedy changes to the suspension when needed.

Completing the bike are Shimano SLX hydraulic disc brakes, a light weight alloy Entity expert cockpit and Entity saddle and seatpost. If you are looking for a racing quality bike with durable and dependable components, the Polygon Siskiu29 9.0 is the perfect bike for you.

When your bike arrives, all you have to attach is the front wheel, the handlebar and pedals, everything else has been done – the headset has been adjusted, wheels trued, pedals and seat post greased, brakes and gears calibrated, and the tyres have been pumped up (please note upon arrival, in some cases you may need to add more air to tyres).

Most companies simply sell you the bike as it comes from the factory, which will require significant know-how to get your bike on the road. Currently we are the only Australian company providing this service, and have the 14 day test ride to back it up.

How does my bike arrive? Bicycles Online

All the tools required to assemble the bike are included.

If you are unsure of how to assemble this bike after viewing the instruction videos above, we recommend you ask for help from someone with knowledge of how to use basic hand tools.

Please note, that all bicycles whether purchased online or instore, are mechanical devices and need to be serviced regularly to ensure proper functioning.

Whilst your new bicycle will have already gone through our Pro Build process, you will still need to complete some minor final assembly steps when you take your bicycle out of its box.

Please follow the video playlist below to correctly complete the setup of your new bike:

Assembly Time:

  • 10-15min - You have assembled bikes before
  • 15-25min - You are mechanically handy
  • 30-40min - Never assembled a bike and working with tools isn't your thing

Unboxing your bike:

Start by carefully opening the top flap to expose the contents. You will see the bike with plenty of protective packaging and next to the rear wheel, the saddle & seatpost, a small cardboard box where your pedals, tools, bell and reflectors are. If you ordered any other products with the bike, it is likely they were placed on the bottom of the box as well. Remove all the loose items before pulling the bike out of the box and gently placing it on the floor.

Keep the box and all the protective packaging found on the bike in case you choose to change frame sizes, upgrade/downgrade the bike, or return the bike for a full refund under the 14 Day Test Ride Policy.
