Bicycle lights were originally designed so that the rider can be seen by other vehicles, in fact its a law that lights are used by cyclists at night or in low light situations. Also lights must be visible at 200m which is the Australian Standard.

Pity about the tail light

I bought this a couple of weeks ago, It is light, works find and stylish, I think the light it provides is strong enough to become noticed in night. I don't know about battery life but I think it worths the price ...
