If you want a bike that can do a little bit of everything, look no further than the 2015 Polygon Heist 3.0 hyprid 29er bike. The Heist 3.0 is now in its 5th generation and continues to be one of the most popular bikes we sell. Probably because it does so many things so well. Want a bike that's ideal for cruising down to the shops? Taking a leisurely spin down country roads? Exploring fire trails and light off road riding? The Heist 3.0 is designed to handle it all.
Shimano Altus groupset has improved significantly for 2015 taking the lead from Shimano Acera with an additional 9th gear giving your gearing additional range as well as improved durability. The other standout component on this bike is the disc brakes. Having disc brakes, is a very beneficial as not only do they provide reliable braking performance in any weather conditions, but they also separate the wheel system from the brake system. Remember when you were a kid and your brakes would shudder as you tried to slow down whilst going down a big hill? That was because the wheel wasnt completely "true" or straight, and everytime that part of the wheel went past the brake pads, you would get that feedback into the brake levers. By adding a disc brake to the system, ensures that it is always true and provides a much better braking feel. The addition of the disc also means that the rim can be lighter as it doesnt have to provide the braking surface anymore. This allows you to accelerate more, and with less effort.
The Polygon Heist 3.0 is the complete package - 27 gears and super reliable disc brakes, all for under $550 delivered!
Shimano Altus / Acera 27 speed gears

After having my beloved Mongoose stolen I started the search for a replacement. Looked at a few local bike shops, but could just not beat the value and quality of the Heist 3.0.
Although I could not test ride it, the 14 day money back guarantee is what made me buy it.
Once arrived it took me a good 30-40 minutes to assemble (amateur). And once on riding I must say it is the best bike I have ridden! Had to slightly adjust the gears as they were making some noise, but being an amateur bike person I figured this out easily.
Very smooth, comfortable and easy to ride. Nice and light, and with my commute to work involving footpaths and road it works perfect.
Looked at a comparable Giant bike which was on sale at Anaconda for about $700 which I did ride, and the Heist at $550 I must say was a bargain!
Great Bike & Great Price

Bought this bike after looking at second hand ones and not being happy with what was out there. Looked at a few bikes online and found the Heist 3.0. Asked the guys at bicycles online a few questions about the bikes and they got back to me very quickly. Arrived quickly and easy to put together (though got my boyfriend to do it!). Took it for its first ride on the weekend and very happy with the feel of the bike!!!! Recommend bicycles online and the Polygon brand.
Great first bike!!

I got this bike a month ago. Took 2 days to arrive after I ordered it. Assembly took me 30 mins (unpacking included). Rode it straight away, was really nice and smooth. Only issue was the front wheel needed the spokes adjusted, had a little wobble, took it to a local bike store to get fixed. It has been great since then. I have been riding it to work 4 days a week.
Good bike for low price

Easy to assemble and rides well. Handlebars are a bit low for many people. I will need a new gooseneck and riser bars.
Good quality components, great tyres, fairly light with disk brakes.
Best bike for this price range

If you are in the market for a bottom price range bike but want all the features of a more expensive bike you must give this one a test ride. It was delivered quickly to the door and took me about 1/2 an hour to have it together and then I was off riding it around. The gears are very smooth and the disc brakes are good.
great bike great value

Nice inexpensive bike sufficient for my purposes, good value. One dislike very flat handlebars tend to push the riding position forward.

The bike arrived only a few days after purchase not bad considering we live in country Queensland. It was easy to assemble but I seem to have a front reflector left over that just wont fit. Really comfortable and easy to ride. Overall I am very happy with the bike.
Very happy with the purchase

I purchased this bike to replace my 20 year old hybrid.
I visited several bike shops (big and small), looked at all the Australian based online stores and read through lots of forums. Polygon, while not a well known brand, seemed to be very good value and was getting positive feedback.
I've only done about 40 k's on it so far, but I have to say I'm extremely happy with the bike. It's good quality and all components perform very well.
I would give it 5 stars, but I had to adjust the brakes and the gears before the first ride, something I would expect to be set correctly before shipping.
Fast for a hybrid.
Front shocks perform better than expected.
Disc brakes work very well.
The saddle is very firm.
Pedals are fairly short.
Bicycles Online could have done a better job on the build.
