Product Description
The 2012 Helios C500 is the perfect combination of competition level componentry, comfort and value. With traditional racing frames requiring a more aggressive aero riding position, the Helios C500 offers the alternative endurance riding position, which is only slightly more upright, but infinitely more comfortable. The geometry is also beneficial in reducing the common complaints of tension in the neck, shoulders and hands commonly associated with racing frames.
Added to that is the compact crankset, which has lower gearing through the use of smaller chain rings, this lowers the overall gear ratio on the bike making it "easier" to ride up hills, spinning the cranks more often as you go.
Whilst the geometry has been slightly softened dont let it fool you into thinking it lacks the speed to keep up on a bunch ride - The bike is finished with very credible Shimano 105 componentry and Shimano's R501 clincher wheels. For the commuter, social rider or those looking for increased comfort on those gran fondo rides, the Helios C500 is the perfect riding partner.

Free Pro Build valued at $99
All of our bicycles come with a Free Pro Build valued at $99. This means that your bicycle will be pre built by our professional mechanics here in our Australian warehouse. For your convenience, safety and comfort all our bikes are fully assembled and test ridden prior to delivery. The bike is then packaged back into a box for secure shipment.
When your bike arrives, all you have to attach is the front wheel, the handlebar and pedals, everything else has been done – the headset has been adjusted, wheels trued, pedals and seat post greased, brakes and gears calibrated, even the tyres have been pumped up to the correct pressure.
Most companies simply sell you the bike as it comes from the factory, which will require significant know-how to get your bike on the road. Currently we are the only Australian company providing this service, and have the 14 day test ride to back it up.

nice bike
Had some initial issues with assembly.
chain not put on properly and it broke so had to return,
Also the handle bars were on but not secured, fun going round a corner!! anyhow just initial teething, perhaps a little QA check before giving it to me would do
took a few days as they were busy with a shipment that had come in
done in the end
On the road pretty good, very light bike, gears do rub at top end and lower end, maybe a tune will fix
Otherwise having a ball
Upgrade to new technology

My experience with my first road bike
Posted by Carl Pino on 21st Mar 2013
I have had my Polygon Helios 500 for over a month now. It is my first road bke (my previous bike was a hybrid), I ride it almost everyday for about 25 km. I find it light and responsive. I am very pleased with it. Some time ago I thought there was a problem (a clicking noise which seemed to me coming from the cronkset), it turned out that it was just the pedal hitting the cable, however, I was very pleased with the response of the Polygon team which answered my e-mail straight away and were prepared to repair the bike at no cost to myself. Carl.
My new bike.

I am very pleased with my new Helios C500. At under $1000, the bike was great value for someone looking to get into cycling. The bike is light and, although I have only taken ridden it a couple of times so far, I am very satisfied with its performance. The staff at Bicycles Online were very helpful and responded promptly to a couple of questions I had when I called or emailed. Overall, I am very happy with my new bike and I'd definitely recommend buying from Bicycles Online.

Received this bike as a Christmas present from my wife. Have been out for a couple of rides so far and very impressed. Really good set of wheels for a bike at this price point and the shimano 105 works seamlessly. Overall very happy.

Bought a Helios C500. An excellent bike for someone like me who wanted a racing style frame with a slightly more upright seating position. The inclusions and componentry in the purchase price where very good. The product is definately good quality and a pleasure to ride. I purchased it at the shop in Nth Manly and the staff took the time to fit the bike to me. Very good sales and service. I would recommend this bike and bicyclesonline highly.
